Superbly grippy gloves
I ride mountain bikes and that means in Britains lovely climate rain rain and some more rain. I have been looking for a while for a pair of gloves that didnt get slippery when wet. These Grippp gloves are the gloves I have been looking for. Its unbelievable the wetter they are the grippier they get, in fact its impossible to alter your grip without pulling your hand off the handlebar. They are very comfortable the sort of comfort where you forget you are wearing them. Not suitable for very hot weather but for normal Spring, Summer and Autumn use in Britain they are ideal. I found I had to go up a size from my normal gloves size but I do have hands the size and shape of a shovel.

Good snugg fit
Nice, tight grippy feel when riding. Would suggest a size up due to the fitted nature of these gloves so, if you are a medium then go for a large.

Be a little mindful of loose stitching especially around cuffs either self-repair or return to Amazon promptly.

Decent gloves
I'm writing this so that people are not put off by the previous review stating that these gloves are bad for cycling.
I do not own these gloves but I know people who work in bike shops and inform me that these are top quality globes. Admittedly the idea of having multiple layers between your hands and the handlebars, but unfortunately this would be a sacrifice in order to have the warmest gloves. Most people usually cycle at a slower pace in freezing conditions anyway.

I have two pairs of these gloves bought specifically for mountain biking and used for road biking too.
They keep my hand dry and warm for the majority of rides. Only if it is really tanking it down do you feel the gloves getting damp.

Exceptionally warm. Excellent value.
For about 15 years I have used another brand of convertible glove employing windstopper material and they are getting to the useful end of their life. I could not source a replacement from the same company, but whilst searching on Amazon I was delighted to come across the Marmot brand, which seemed to be offering the same usefulness and ability. And they do. The material, if anything, seems marginally thicker, and a nice touch is the flip over mitten portion is held in place by a small magnet, rather than velcro, which I found can snag knitted materials.

The clue to the effectiveness of these fingerless convertible gloves is in the word "windstopper". And they do what it says - it is almost impossible for cold wind to penetrate them, so your hands stay remarkably warm even in sub-zero temperatures.

The accepted opinion is that mittens, generally, are the warmer design than traditional gloves, other things being equal. However, mittens are not very user friendly...

Designed so that none of the stitching is in an area that would cause irritation or rubbing. esp around the base finger joints/webbing.
It's so good that I caught myself turning the gloves inside out to see how they managed to make them so damn comfy.

When I first put them on for a 30 min walk on a cooold evening I thought they weren't so good at maintaining temperature as my hands felt cool compared to my other gloves.
It was only when I took the mitt off that I realised just how well they had kept my hands protected.

They kept me away from the elements, but don't really let them get warm to the point where they could start getting sweaty (unlike my other gloves that I have to regularly take off to let my hands 'breathe')

I always look forward to putting them on :)

Utterly hopeless for warmth
I bought these gloves in a bike shop and I HATE them. I swear my hands are colder in these gloves than out of them. I have bad circulation and was looking for a really warm option. This is not it. Freezing.

seemed to be faulty
I seemed to have a pair that should not have come through a quality test. I chose size large, and the gloves were quite small (my hands are size 8,5). But that was only an issue for the right hand. That inner glove was way smaller than the outer glove. The left hand was still alright, although a bit tight, but the right hand was unbearably small inside, while there was still lots of room left in the outer glove. When you consider that my left hand is bigger than my right, there was definitely something strange going on with these gloves. That's why I didn't want them replaced.

Good, but not great
Nice gloves a touch on the large size, no reason to doubt the waterproofness of these gloves, although not been caught in a downpour yet. They're really not that warm though, hence the 4 stars - been in some pretty chilly weather and they don't really keep your hands warm, have to wear inner gloves to stand a chance, but at least with that you can shed the inners when your hands get too hot.
Wouldn't really describe them as 'All Weather' gloves.

The best gloves ever
Have tried these amazing gloves in cold,torrential rain and was amazed at how dry and warm my hands where. For anyone thinking of winter riding then you won't get better than these gloves...and the Sealskinz socks are just as good too.

Decent winter gloves
These are, as I say in the title, decent winter mountain biking gloves. They won't keep out water with 100% effectiveness (as a day of constant rain demonstrated) but they remain warm even when fairly well saturated. The padding is such that movement is easy; I can even operate a camera wearing these gloves, although a touch-screen is of course impossible. Something to do with how the touch-screen works, I understand.

All in all, pretty decent gloves although I ought to warn you that although these are bike gloves, Sealskinz work to normal glove sizing (most bike companies seem to assume that all cyclists are anorexic dwarfs, hence a normally-sized adult is well into the extra-large sizes). So, whilst with Altura and other bike gloves, I am wearing XXL sized gloves, a mere XL will suffice for these gloves.

Excellent product, waterproof and windproof
I have these gloves in black and use them for cycling to work in all weathers. They are waterproof in the nastiest of rain storms and totally windproof too. I would highly recommend them for autumn and spring.

The cuffs are nice and long to fit underneath a waterproof jacket or a jumper and keep your wrists warm. The grippy bits are very good and have not fallen off or worn down and are useful for gripping the handlebars and changing gear. I also find that the gloves are flexible and thin enough to be able to lock my bike up and switch on/off and remove accessories such as lights and bags whilst wearing the gloves.

I have found that if I wear them on a warm day and I get hot, my hands get a bit sweaty inside the gloves which after a while can make them smell, but I have washed these in the machine at 40 degrees celcius a couple of times now and their waterproof and windproof capabilities have not diminished.
