Decent gloves
I'm writing this so that people are not put off by the previous review stating that these gloves are bad for cycling.
I do not own these gloves but I know people who work in bike shops and inform me that these are top quality globes. Admittedly the idea of having multiple layers between your hands and the handlebars, but unfortunately this would be a sacrifice in order to have the warmest gloves. Most people usually cycle at a slower pace in freezing conditions anyway.

I have two pairs of these gloves bought specifically for mountain biking and used for road biking too.
They keep my hand dry and warm for the majority of rides. Only if it is really tanking it down do you feel the gloves getting damp.

Riding Gloves
Although I see a picture of a yellow one here, I got the ones in black. They are thick and dry, but not the best at warming my hands, however I could not spend anymore money on another set so I stayed with these, my morning ride is only about 40 mins, so this is adequate.

Utterly hopeless for warmth
I bought these gloves in a bike shop and I HATE them. I swear my hands are colder in these gloves than out of them. I have bad circulation and was looking for a really warm option. This is not it. Freezing.

seemed to be faulty
I seemed to have a pair that should not have come through a quality test. I chose size large, and the gloves were quite small (my hands are size 8,5). But that was only an issue for the right hand. That inner glove was way smaller than the outer glove. The left hand was still alright, although a bit tight, but the right hand was unbearably small inside, while there was still lots of room left in the outer glove. When you consider that my left hand is bigger than my right, there was definitely something strange going on with these gloves. That's why I didn't want them replaced.

Good, but not great
Nice gloves a touch on the large size, no reason to doubt the waterproofness of these gloves, although not been caught in a downpour yet. They're really not that warm though, hence the 4 stars - been in some pretty chilly weather and they don't really keep your hands warm, have to wear inner gloves to stand a chance, but at least with that you can shed the inners when your hands get too hot.
Wouldn't really describe them as 'All Weather' gloves.

The best gloves ever
Have tried these amazing gloves in cold,torrential rain and was amazed at how dry and warm my hands where. For anyone thinking of winter riding then you won't get better than these gloves...and the Sealskinz socks are just as good too.

Decent winter gloves
These are, as I say in the title, decent winter mountain biking gloves. They won't keep out water with 100% effectiveness (as a day of constant rain demonstrated) but they remain warm even when fairly well saturated. The padding is such that movement is easy; I can even operate a camera wearing these gloves, although a touch-screen is of course impossible. Something to do with how the touch-screen works, I understand.

All in all, pretty decent gloves although I ought to warn you that although these are bike gloves, Sealskinz work to normal glove sizing (most bike companies seem to assume that all cyclists are anorexic dwarfs, hence a normally-sized adult is well into the extra-large sizes). So, whilst with Altura and other bike gloves, I am wearing XXL sized gloves, a mere XL will suffice for these gloves.

Works well but seam at base of right thumb presses into the hand and is uncomfortable (seam too big?) when riding!

Light, windproof and doesn't make you hot or clumsy, but there is a problem with a thick seam which can be uncomfortable
I've used these gloves for a couple of years for commuting and night riding in winter. Where I live (Northern England) it rarely gets below freezing but it's chilly, especially mornings and evenings for half of the year.

Other winter gloves tend to be too hot and clumsy, I like these because they cut the wind chill but allow good feel and dexterity. I am quite an energetic cyclist and very rarely feel the cold in my hands with these gloves unless it's well below freezing or I have to stand around in the cold. On those occasions I layer them with thin silk inner gloves and that makes them nice and warm without losing the good feel on the controls of the bike.

They are not waterproof. Like many cyclists I find any waterproof garment, no matter how "breathable", to be like a portable sauna once I've generated some body heat. Even when wet these gloves cut the wind chill and that suits me.

So I've never found a better glove for me and I was really worried...

First i bought the sealskins winter gloves and was slightly dissapointed when i still had cold hands while riding my bicycle, so i decided to bite the bullet and order the winter mitts.
That did it, these are the warmest gloves of any kind i've had.
there is an internal, fingered glove included but still plenty of room to get a thin inner glove on as well.
Being mitts i had some concerns about using the brakes and gears on the bike but this has not been an issue at all, the only thing i would say is that sealskins glove sizes seem a little on the small size so it's worth going one size up when you order.
