I found myself compelled to write this review as the only other review on these lights has been up for quite some time and is quite frankly very untrue and or misleading!!

Firstly, the battey life on these is great and will last for around a month on a single charge(I use mine for around 45 minutes a day, 30 mins with both flashing and 15 mins with one beam on full), and yes the battery low level indicator light is completley useless, especially in cold weather, but if you carry a spare front light you won't get caught out.

As for the cable connecter problem stated by the last reviewer, well I feel a tad sorry for him as all you need to do is push the connecters together until they click into place!!! then they are not only very firmly held together but also water tight!!!!

Would I recommend these lights? - Yes! They're a bit pricey, but they will last years as the quality of them is great, and if you charge them at work every couple of weeks as I do,...

Shoddy design ruins otherwise excellent lights
As much as I wish I could, I can't recommend this light system. It's frustrating because in many respects it's very well designed. The little lighting units are solid and beautifully engineered. They provide plenty of light for commuting: enough to allow me to whizz down otherwise unlit and fairly poorly surfaced roads safely at night. I estimate they allow me to see about three times as far as my previous front light, the Cateye EL-520, did. They fix to the handlebars simply and securely (unlike the Cateye) using thick rubber bands, allowing for mid-ride adjustment to their position whilst never moving unless you want them to.

Unfortunately Electron has failed to apply this design principle elsewhere in the system. The system comes with a velcro strap to attach the chunky battery unit to the bike frame. It's possible that this system provides a perfectly secure fastening to perfectly cylindrical frame tubes, though I doubt it; but on my first long ride in the dark the...
