Powerfull light
This is an extremely bright light. Very powerful tight beam, good for about 100ft. There is also a reasonable side ring to illuminate your immediate surroundings. I use a couple of other lights for the near illumination, but you can get away with this on its own for road use. Off road it makes a great main beam, (easily matches my 120 lumen lenser). Only draw back is that you can not focus the beam, but you can not do that on most cycle lights
I would always recommend at least two lights, be seen - be safe.
The fitting is easy to attach, and you can easlily get a second if using on two bikes. Bracket goes round MTB bars no problem, and will tighten up for small bars. Not supplied with any rubber strips as adjusts to most sizes. Potential to slip but not happened yet.

EL530 - Best LED light so far
I bought an EL530 not long after they were launched. I needed something that let me still see the unlit country roads ahead when dazzled by oncoming cars and this light does the trick.
It has a very useful feature that reduces the brightness at about ten hours use to a level that is still quite bright, and at this level will carry on for tens of hours (this is how it gets its astonishingly long running time).
In effect, it won't leave you in the lurch. I use this as a reminder to recharge the AA batteries.
The earlier reviewer is quite correct about the fragility, though. Mine rolled off the table, hit the solid tiled floor and died.
However, I liked the unit so much I went out and bought another EL530 the same day to get home.
Having nothing to lose, I found a way of repairing the original with an replacement LED from RS for
