Great for longer runs
As someone who needs plenty of fluid when out running, I've found this to be a really easy way of carrying enough water without having to carry anything in-hand, or faff about with heavy or bulky hydration packs. You obviously you know you're wearing it, and getting a decent fit was tricky, but overall it's light, has room for gels and cargo, and feels nice and secure. Would definitely recommend.

Better for hiking than for running
Unsatisfied with water bottles I wanted a more convenient way of carrying around 1 litre of water when running long distances that take over an hour. A hydration pack seemed like the best option so I did some research and went onto the Camelbak web site and chose a model recommended for running - the Flashflow seemed to fit the bill.

I looked forward to trying it out but it quickly became evident that this was a pack designed for hiking more than running. It's quite capacious at around 4 litres - room for your sandwiches perhaps but most runners need little or no storage, perhaps keys, phone and wallet. The extra room can be flattened down so that it doesn't protrude too much but already it seemed better suited to hiking than running.

The bladder is excellent, very easy to fill and I really like the bite valve on the end, it means that there is no messing around when you come to take a drink - or so you'd think. Frustratingly the tube is about 10cm too short and...

Good system for walks, runs and cycles
The hydration pack is very comfy to wear, and produces no sloshing when you run. I wore this for a half marathon, and can safely say it was worth the money. Also used it for cycling and walking on holiday, and not found any problem with it. When it eventually needs replacing, I would buy another.
