Enjoying it after initial concerns
OK, first things first, it's easy and quick to assemble.
It is my first trainer and I found the 'Rock n Roll' aspect something that made perfect sense, it's closer to a more familiar cycling movement and as such works the core strength more, so I plumped for it.
The motor is excellent and reasonably quiet, the rock mechanism feels natural although there is a bounce that is more unnerving, the footprint is quite wide as it needs to absorb the rocking such that it doesn't fall over. The most worrying thing was a 'creaking' that developed after the first couple of uses. Worried that it was the expensive carbon frame of my bike making the noise I searched the net for similar issues. There is a guy has put a video on YouTube who has all this theory about the Bike flexing thereby stressing the bike and the like, which I don't fully subscribe to, after all even a static bike is subject to similar forces on a trainer frame that doesn't give, which if anything will...
